In the field of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, the deep empowerment of generative artificial intelligence has become an important force driving the precision of ideological and political education. This paper expounds the value of generative artificial intelligence in empowering the precision of ideological and political education in colleges and universities from the dimensions of targeted audience segmentation effect, precise expressive power of content, audio-visual appeal of narration, and intelligent feedback of evaluation. Meanwhile,analyzes the risks and challenges of generative artificial intelligence in empowering the precision of ideological and political education in universities, such as the weakened value guidance, the ideological polarization of educated subjects,the unbalanced structure of ideological and political education content, and the distorted evaluation and feedback of university ideological and political education. On this basis, puts forward practical approaches to address potential risks from the aspects of value guidance, data empowerment, intelligent empowerment, and human-machine collaboration, so as to provide theoretical references and practical guidelines for the precision-oriented development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.
